GIS Resources at Columbia

Columbia University has many resources to help you utilize GIS and spatial analysis. To begin, there are three computer labs which are dedicated to GIS use on campus, as well as many individual computers spread across campus; for more information on this see the Lab Resources section below. Additionally, as part of a recent AQF grant, the GIS Working Group is helping to build infrastructure and create new GIS resources for the Columbia community. Two main components of this initiative are StartGIS which allows researchers and professors to utilize an intern throughout the semester to help with GIS work, as well the Workshop/Seminar Subsidy Fund which helps bring leading spatial research scholars to campus by subsidizing their travel expenses.
